Annual Report

Each year the the Annual Town Meeting must be held.

This meeting is not a meeting of the Town Council - it is a meeting of the town - every (civil) parish in England must have a parish meeting (see s9 (1) of the Local Government Act 1972) and in Godalming that meeting is known as the Annual Town Meeting and it is held every April.

All Godalming's residents are welcome to attend and anyone who is on the electoral roll for Godalming can speak and vote at the meeting.

In 2012 the Annual Town Meeting was held at 8pm on Thursday 19 April 2012 in Waverley Borough Council's council chamber above the Borough Hall on Bridge Street, Godalming.

The meeting was chaired by the Town Mayor who took the opportunity to present an annual report of the Town Council's activity over the last year (2011/12).
