Peter was first elected to Godalming Town Council in 1991 and was Mayor in 2005/06. He holds an Honours Degree in Geography from the University of Durham and is a qualified accountant. He spent 33 years in the international IT industry holding senior management positions in finance and marketing in London, New York and Paris.

Since his retirement in 2003 Peter has played a prominent part in local affairs. He is a member of Surrey County and Waverley Borough Councils. He is Chairman of Governors at St Catherine's School, Bramley, Chairman of the Friends of Oglethorpe and an active member of many town organisations.

Peter works hard to represent all his electors. Above all he wishes to preserve the unique and lovely character of our town.
