Andrew has lived in Godalming since 1999 with his wife Jocelyn - they have three sons, one of whom is a teacher. His wife, an enthusiastic musician, was brought up locally and is a member of the Godalming Choral Society. Both Andrew and Jocelyn have become much involved with local activities such as Meals on Wheels in particular.
Most of Andrew's career was as a financial journalist on various newspapers. This gave him opportunities to travel extensively overseas while covering a large range of industries. These included utilities, mining, retailing, property, building and construction and manufacturing.
