Cathy has lived in Godalming for 25 years. She is married to Tony and they have two sons and six grandchildren. She returned to her teaching career after her own children were well established in school and worked in several branches of the education service. She is now a Governor of Broadwater School.
She is an active member of the parish church of St Peter & St Paul where she sings in the choir. She has also been a member of the Godalming Choral Society for many years. As Choir Section secretary of Godalming Music Festival, she organises the choir competitions every March and the annual Infant Singing Day for the Infant and Primary School of Waverley Borough.
She is a member of Go Godalming, the Godalming Trust and The Friends of Oglethorpe. She keeps fit by swimming regularly.
